Genie's Review about Drama in English: Battlestar Galactica in 2004

"The cylons were created by man. They evolved. They rebelled. There are many copies.

And they have a plan."

In a distant star system, where a civilization of humans live on a series of planets known as the 12 Colonies. In the past, the Colonies had been at war with a cybernetic race of their own creation, known as the Cylons. The Cylons launch a sudden attack on the Colonies, laying waste to the planets and devastating their populations with doctor Gaius Balter. Out of a population numbering in the billions, only approximately 50,000 humans survive, most of whom were aboard civilian ships that avoided destruction. Of all the Colonial Fleet, the eponymous Battlestar Galactica appears to be the only military capital ship that survived the attack. The Galactica and its crew take up the task of leading the small fugitive fleet of survivors into space in search of a fabled refuge known as Earth. It ran for four seasons thereafter, ending its run on March 20, 2009.

BSG has no the only one main character at least ten characters.

If machine is around us, which looks alike human? And they are preparing to wipe out the entire human race and our planet? What will happen?

Cylons can feel emotions like love, rage, sadness, sympathy, and happiness. Some of those are don't know who they are or what they are.

What is human being? Truly, are we different from machinery? This drama series is not fun. This is not just a sci-fi TV drama. It asks a lot of questions for me and us. It show frankly the frailties of human nature, religious questions, the rich and the poor, stereotype, and so on. So the more I watch it, the more I have a headache. For me, this story was ridiculous at first. SF! It's obvious American SF!

There are many character like astronauts, serviceperson, doctor, president, reporter, mechanic, cleric etc. And each character tells his or her own story in their own point of view. It is interesting to compare their situation and ours. It was uncomfortable to see how selfish, stupid we are.

I like rosalin. She was qualified for the president.

Actually, one of actress in this is of Korean descent. It induce interest of this drama. She is very very important character and most normal one int the BSG. Also, she is my favorite character. I think she is only one who is not relived by viewers .
